When Poppy gave a talk for Jesmond Library in Newcastle, on the subject of Border Ballads, she chose some remarkable songs from around St Mary’s Loch which is surely one of the most beautiful places on earth. Since then she has given the talk many times, and people have asked for a souvenir book with the history, tunes and stories to take away afterwards.
